and should be your first stop online. Be sure that you take advantage
of the chapter summaries and the practice tests. Become very familiar
with this site. Registration is free.
Chambers
Student Guide
This is the textbook site for another book that is often used
for APEH. The site has maps, interactive quizzes, and more.
Mosaic
This web site was designed for use with a school book, but it
is useful even if you do not have the text. It gives brief but
helpful summaries of most important historical time periods and
wars. It also has maps, exercises, and links. Be sure to check
out the timeline feature at the bottom of each summary page --
it will give you a list of events that occurred in that year,
including many that they did not mention in the summaries themselves.
The College Board
The
College Board
This is the place to find answers about the AP program. The APEH
course description, samples of free- response questions and answers,
the core scoring rubric and an overview of the themes in APEH
may be found on the APEH
home page
Review Pages
There are a number
of teacher sites that have a tremendous amount of useful information.
I am only listing my favorites. Many of these pages have additional
links you might want to check out. If you find a terrific site
please e-mail me the url and I will list it. I consider it "smart
studying" to take advantage of work that has already been
done and offered to us.
The
Absolute Best review page is treasure from Ms. Pojer. Check
out every link. This site is a MUST for APEH exam review.
Don't miss the "Giant Review Sheet" that is flagged
on the center of the page. Don't forget to take the practice quizzes.

documents for modern European history. Many of the primary doc

now.
Eyewitness
to History
The god of online primary source sites. This site is easy to navigate
and extremely interesting. Each primary source is presented along
with an explanation of its historical context, useful images,
and a bibliography. You can either browse all of the sources in
order of date by using the Index, or you can jump to listings
specific to a certain century.

here. Here is a list of current

Art
History Resources Online
This site is enormous and occasionally confusing, but if you stick
with it you will find the entire world of art at your fingertips.
The site is a massive database of online resources for the various
artistic movements throughout history. Even if you do not venture
into the links it has catalogued, take a look at the main page.
The table in the center of the page is a marvelous summary of
the major art styles and the centuries in which they were popular.
Artchive
is my favorite site to find specific works of art.
Famous
Trials
Many major historical court trials are covered on this extensive
web site. The focus of the site is on American trials, but there
are a number of trials listed that are relevant to our course
of study, including the trial of Galileo and the Nuremberg Trials.
Current
Value of Old Money
If economics is your thing this will be an interesting site for
you to explore. There are numerous resources available here. Need
to know the exchange rate between Italy and the US in 1913? Curious
about the purchasing power of a late medieval artisan? Ever wondered
how much a dollar in 1910 would be worth in today's money? Have
a burning desire to find out what cheese cost in 1625 in Britain?
No problem!
The

topics and concentrate on the best. The junk has already been
weeded out for you.

Jane Grey: Queen for a Day...well really 9 days. Here is an
excellent account of the life and short reign of Queen Jane, who
is often left off the lists of England's Kings and Queens.
The

a thorough and comprehensive look at the HRE.
Great
Review of the Enlightened Despots: Who were they and what
did they do, or try to do?
Liberty,
Equality, Fraternity
A great web site about the French Revolution. Essays, images,
primary sources, and even music await you here. We can't spend
a long time on the French Revolution in class, but you could easily
spend days exploring it at this web site. This is an especially
good resource for the diary research project I assign in December.

an extensive list of links related to World War I,organized
by category and clearly labeled. If you are doing research on
