It is an easy and informative way to access the latest in historigography.
You will be assigned several of these, but I enourage you to listen

My favorite primary source site for general social studies.. This
site is easy to navigate and extremely interesting. Each primary
source is presented along with an explanation of its historical
context, useful images, and a bibliography. You can either browse
all of the sources in order of date by using the Index, or you can
jump to listings specific to a certain century.

This is am excellent site for information about specific countries.
The map section is very good. You can print out maps in pdf to jpeg
format.

WWII diaries of my father-in-law,
David A. Bramlett. He fought in Africa, Italy and landed on the
beaches of Normandy on D-Day. This live-journal site was established
by my daughter, who is transcribing the orginal diaries. This is
a wonderful primary source for the WWII experiences of the "commmon
soldier." Actually, DB was far from common as you will learn
if you read these entries.
